Firstly I want to say how gutted I was to hear this sad news. Unfortunately I lost contact with Adam a long time ago but we were best mates (along with Jason Porritt) in Chelwood Gate from around the age of 13 to 18. So many stories, so many laughs. Riding bmx bikes everywhere,  then 50cc mopeds then ultimately his first car. We'd be regulars in the local pubs from around 14 years old playing pool, gaming machines and fruit machines (where it wouldn't be unusual for him to spend his YTS income in one night!!) Hence we had cleaning jobs too to supplement our income! He had a big influence on my fashion and musical tastes, he was one of life's characters and a real doer. He just did things and got involved which I loved.

One funny story that springs to mind is us bombing around in his little blue mini with the Beastie Boys blaring out the windows when he decided he needed to put oil in the car. He promptly pulled up at a petrol station, bought the oil, opened the bonnet and after a bit of head scratching, tried pouring the oil down the dipstick tube!! It went everywhere except in the engine!! Or when the car slipped out of gear on a dark country road, being scared of the dark he panicked, stopped the car and insisted the chain had fallen off and had a meltdown!! Needless to say he didn't go on to be a mechanic!

So sorry to his family and friends, such an influence on me at that time, one less character in the world.
